On one of my solo London walkabouts while visiting AFVdR, I passed through St James' Park. It might be one of my favorites in the city because it is so beautifully landscaped providing views of many of London's landmarks. I usually avoided the Buckingham Palace end because it was always busy. I appreciated that the city had such a place of tranquility in the middle of a busy tourist zone.
My favorite memory of the park was helping people take photos. I don't mind doing that as a traveler. I have sometimes asked people to take my photo frequently. However, that day at the palace end of the park, I found myself in this endless loop of taking pictures for others. It's as if people saw me taking photos and said, "hey, there's a guy taking photos!". After the third one, I had enough. So then, I simply changed their camera to "selfie" and started taking photos of myself. Ha! Certainly, no one suspected I had done it intentionally ("oh that old guy doesn't know how to use a camera"). I found it hilarious....
Until I took photos of people taking selfies in Pisa, it was my most hilarious photographic experience!
